Recapping an Outstanding California Charter Schools Conference

Takeaways from our four days in Sacramento.

Our team just returned from the California Charter Schools Conference, and we're thrilled to report that it was a huge success! We had the pleasure of connecting with numerous educators, vendors, founders, speakers, and members of the California Charter Schools Association who share our passion for improving educational outcomes. We're grateful for the opportunity to have attended this incredible event in Sacramento.

We showcased our parent-relationship management platform at the conference, which simplifies the enrollment process and reduces the strain on educators. It was exciting to introduce our solution to people dedicated to making a difference in students' lives.

We look forward to working with schools both new and established across California to connect scholars with new educational opportunities and experiences in their state.

Aside from exhibiting, we also hosted an AirPods giveaway. The lucky winner was Santos Campos, the Executive Director at Leadership Military Academy in Moreno Valley, CA. We were thrilled to give away such a cool prize to someone who is making a positive impact in education.

Congratulations to Santos Campos, the winner of our AirPods giveaway at the 2023 California Charter Schools Conference!

In addition to the AirPods, we gave away dozens of Liquid IV drink mixes to conference attendees who visited our table to discuss ways to grow their schools. We wanted to ensure that attendees stayed hydrated and at their best during the conference, which involved sessions, workshops, networking events, and happy hours. The Liquid IVs were especially a hit with those who needed a quick recovery from the previous evening’s various mixers and festivities.

CCSA attendees enjoy a guided mezcal tasting led by Sacramento restaurateur Señor Ernesto Delgado at Tequila Museo Mayahuel.

Speaking of mixers, ScholarLead.com & Effct.org hosted a Tequila and Mezcal tasting event in partnership with Tequila Museo Mayahuel & Señor Ernesto Delgado de Tequila, a restaurateur and friend of the ScholarLead team. The event was packed and allowed conference attendees to network while enjoying amazing tequilas, artisanal mezcals, and delicious food. Señor Delgado even guided a mezcal tasting for those in attendance.

We're grateful for the connections and insights gained at the conference. We met inspiring teachers and school leaders who are doing amazing work in their communities, and witnessed the passion of numerous individuals working to create a better future for California's youth. Everyone we met had positively contributed to public charters in California, and we're excited to continue working towards our mission of improving educational outcomes for all.
